TEAM SCORING
Conference Race Season:
- Each team will compete in six conference races:
- 3 Slalom
- 3 Giant Slalom
- A team must compete in at least 50% of its scheduled conference races to be eligible for scoring.
- The results of these races determine which teams advance to the NJ State Championships at the end of the season.
Scoring Format
- In each qualifying race, teams earn:
- 1 point for each team they defeat
- 1 point for each team they lose to
Note: Wins and losses are only counted against teams in other conferences during All Varsity Mega Races. Intra-conference results do not count toward team win/loss records.
Team Qualification Criteria:
- A team must field at least three racers to qualify as a scoring team in a race.
- If a fourth racer is absent, a ghost time is used:
Ghost Time = 30 seconds added to the worst combined individual time that counts in team scoring (by gender).
Incomplete Participation:
- Teams that miss a race or do not qualify as a team in an event can receive retroactive and future wins/losses, only if they compete as a qualified team in at least 50% of scheduled conference races
NJ State Championships (Team):
- 10 Boys’ Teams and 10 Girls’ Teams will qualify.
- 3 automatic bids awarded to:
- Small Public Champion
- Large Public Champion
- Non-Public Champion
- 7 additional bids go to teams with the highest winning percentages at the end of the regular season.

INDIVIDUAL RACER POINTS
Scoring System:
Individual points are calculated based on performance in the six scheduled conference league races. Each race consists of two runs, totaling 12 scored runs.
-
Each run will be scored using the FIS World Cup Points Structure, awarding points to the top 30 finishers in each gender category.
-
Points from each of the 12 runs will be accumulated to determine a racer’s total league points.
-
These points will be used for individual rankings within the league.
FIS World Cup Points Table (per run – top 30 finishers):
