NJISRA Senior Scholarship
About the NJISRA Senior Scholarship
Each year, the NJISRA awards a Senior Scholarship to one senior boy and one senior girl who demonstrate exceptional passion and commitment to alpine racing. The winners are selected based on a one-page, anonymous essay in response to the annual prompt.
Who Is Eligible
- Must be a high school senior
- Must have competed in at least 2 conference races during the season
(unless medically excused due to injury) - Must submit an anonymous essay via email to

by the deadline
(Late or non-emailed submissions will not be considered)
How & When To Apply
- Applications open in mid-January
- Essays must be submitted by the mid-February deadline
(Exact date and time will be listed on the application)
Essay Guidelines
- Respond to the annual prompt
- Be inspiring and authentic - let your passion for alpine racing shine
- Essay must be:
- No more than 1 page
- Single-spaced
- 12-point Tahoma or Geneva font
- Do not include:
- Your name
- Your coach’s name
- Your school name
(Essays are judged anonymously based on merit and team gender only)
Notification & Award Process
- Winners are announced at the NJISRA State Championships
- Winners will also be notified via email
- Scholarship funds will be distributed after the recipient:
- Provides proof of 1st semester college attendance
- Achieves a passing GPA
- Submits their mailing address for delivery
