TEAM SCORING
Regular Season:
- Each team will compete in six regular-season races:
- 3 Slalom
- 3 Giant Slalom
- 4 races are Conference Races, with only teams within the conference competing.
- 2 races are Statewide Races, with all NJISRA teams competing.
- Team results from all six races determine qualification for the NJ State Championships.
Scoring Format:
- 1 point is awarded for each team defeated.
- 1 point is awarded for each team by which it is defeated.
- In Statewide Races, team results are counted only against teams from other conferences.
- A team must compete as a qualified scoring team in at least 50% of its scheduled regular-season races to be eligible for team scoring.
TEAM QUALIFICATION CRITERIA
- A team must field at least three racers to qualify as a scoring team in a race.
- If a fourth racer is absent, a ghost time is used:
Ghost Time = 30 seconds added to the worst combined individual time that counts in team scoring (by gender).
Incomplete Participation:
- Teams that miss a race or do not qualify as a team in an event can receive retroactive and future wins/losses, provided they compete as a qualified team in at least 50% of their scheduled regular-season races.
NJ State Championships (Team):
- 10 Boys’ Teams and 10 Girls’ Teams will qualify.
- 3 automatic bids awarded to:
- Small Public Champion
- Large Public Champion
- Non-Public Champion
- 7 additional bids go to teams with the highest winning percentages at the end of the regular season.
INDIVIDUAL RACER POINTS
Scoring System:
Individual points are calculated based on performance in the six scheduled regular-season races. Each race consists of two runs, totalling 12 scored runs.

Each run will be scored using the FIS World Cup Points Structure, awarding points to the top 30 finishers in each gender category.

Points from each of the 12 runs will be accumulated to determine a racer’s total league points.

These points will be used for individual rankings within the league.

INDIVIDUAL RECOGNITION
Individual recognition will be determined at the conclusion of the regular season based on total individual points earned during the six scheduled regular-season races.
- NJ 1st Team All-State: 1st - 6th in regular-season points
- NJ 2nd Team All-State: 7th - 12th in regular-season points
- NJ 3rd Team All-State: 13th - 18th in regular-season points
- Honorable Mention: 19th - 24th in regular-season points
NJ STATE TEAM SELECTION
The Top 10 Boys and Top 10 Girls, based strictly on total NJISRA league points earned during the regular season, will receive invitations to join the NJ State High School Ski Team.
If an athlete declines an invitation, the invitation will be offered to the next-highest-ranked athlete based on regular-season league points, beginning with the 11th-ranked athlete.
If more than two athletes among the original Top 10 decline their invitations, any remaining positions will be filled at the discretion of the NJ State Team coaches, with league points and season performance considered.
